Zarb Alums: Appearing On ABC’s May 6 “Beyond the Tank”

Zarb’s “Shark Tank” Winners (see 1, 2) have done it again. They are scheduled to be on ABC’s “Beyond the Tank.”

As Hofstra’s Marilou R. Giammona reports:

“Just a year after Zarb School of Business ’05 alumni Avin Samtani, Rob Peck, and Jonathan Kinas successfully pitched their portable safe, AquaVault, on ABC’s “Shark Tank,” the trio has been selected to appear on an episode of the network’s “Beyond the Tank,” which will air May 6 at 8 p.m. EST.  “Beyond the Tank” is the follow-up show to the Emmy-winning “Shark Tank.” The new series tells the story of what happens after entrepreneurs hook an investor. As the investors travel across America to mentor the entrepreneurs, assess the businesses, and provide their industry expertise, the audience gets a glimpse of the challenges the entrepreneurs face.”

“’Our last year has been a complete roller coaster,” said Samtani. ‘Since appearing on ‘Shark Tank,’ we’ve experienced a tremendous increase in sales, but with that comes pressure to keep that momentum going after all the buzz.’ The AquaVault team, which invented an outdoor travel safe that can be used at the beach, pool and water parks, as well as during activities such as boating and biking, reeled in investor Daymond John on the original show.”

“The AquaVault executives have continued to expand their reach, teaming up with big industry players like HSN in addition to many world class hotels including Ritz Carlton, Hilton, Marriott, Loews, and W from Florida to California. And they’ve enhanced their product line, as well. Sales continue to increase for the AquaVault, a 120-square-inch cargo hull made of durable high-impact ABS thermoplastic that is roomy enough for wallets, watches, mobile phones, jewelry, keys, and other valuables. New this year is the FlexSafe, which is a soft-sided personal portable vault to secure valuables during all sorts of outdoor activities. When empty, the FlexSafe collapses, making it simple to pack in your luggage or carry-on bag.”
