Zarb Professors Are Active in Many Ways: Directing Is One of Them

The Zarb School faculty includes a number of outstanding adjunct professors who complement the full-time professors in teaching our students. They too are often involved in interesting activities outside the classroom.

Lawrence M. Bellman is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship. He has taught at Hofstra for many years. He has a Doctorate in Professional Studies from Pace University, and an MBA and a BBA from Baruch College.

Dr. Bellman has articles published in the Review of Business, Business Horizons, Journal of Entrepreneurial Education, and the Journal of the American Telemarketing Association. He serves on the Board of Directors for several not-for-profit organizations as well as on the Board of Advisors for several entrepreneurial start-ups.

Prior to his academic career, Dr. Bellman worked in the telecommunications and information technology sector, serving in various marketing positions ranging from Regional Sales Director to Vice-President of Sales.

Dr. Bellman’s extracurricular passion is community theater. In the past, he did a lot of acting. But  now, he is involved in directing. After directing Over the River and Through the Woods in November 2013 , he is currently directing Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Nile for Township Theater Group, which will open October 25th at the Helen Butler Hall, Dominican Village, 565 Albany Avenue, Amityville, NY, and run for two weekends. Contact number for tickets is 631-213-9832.
